One of the keys to the 6 Changes habit technique is public accountability — tell people publicly what you’re going to do, and be accountable to them as you do it.
A good example of that in action can be seen here: The 6 Changes Habit Creation Technique in Action. It’s an excellent account of one person’s implementation, but what’s more it makes everything public and accountable.
